స్వరపల్లవి/ జతిస్వరం లక్షణాలు

• ఇది 'శబ్దము'వలె నృత్యమునకు ఉపయోగకరమైన ఒక రకమైన సంగీత రచన.
• దీనిలోని సంగీతం జీవంతో కూడుకున్నట్టు, ఆకర్షణీయంగా ఉంటుంది.
• సంగీత అమరికలోను, నిర్మాణంలోను స్వరజతిని పోలి ఉంటుంది.
• పల్లవి, అనుపల్లవి, చరణం అనే అంగాలు ఉంటాయి.
• కొన్నిరకాల ప్రస్తార క్రమములను ప్రదర్శించటానికి ఈ అంగాలు ఉంటాయి.
• జతిస్వరానికి సాహిత్యం ఉండదు. మొదటినుండి చివరివరకు స్వరములుగానే పాడబడుచున్నది.
• కొన్ని జతిస్వరాలకి అనుపల్లవి ఉండదు.
• దీని నడక సాధారణంగా తానవర్ణాల్లా మధ్యమకాలంలో ఉంటుంది.
• గీతాలు నేర్చుకున్న తర్వాత స్వరపల్లవి నేర్చుకుంటారు.
• సాధారణంగా జతిస్వరమును అభ్యాసగాన రచనగా చెప్పటం కంటె నృత్యప్రదర్శన రచనగా చెప్పటం సమంజసం.
• సంగీత క్రమశిక్షణా పద్ధతిలో విద్యార్థులకు జతిస్వరము నేర్పించకపోయినప్పటికీ, నృత్యప్రదర్శనలో విధిగా నేర్పుదురు.
• స్వరభాగాన్ని తిరిగి పాడటంవల్ల, "స్వరపల్లవి" అనే పేరు వచ్చినది.
• కొన్ని జతిస్వరాల్లో కొంత స్వరముగాను, మరికొంత భాగం తాళముల జతులను కలిపి రచించుట పరిపాటి.
• చరణములు వేరువేరు ధాతువులలో ఉంటాయి.
• కొన్ని రాగమాలికా జతిస్వరములు కూడా కలవు.
• స్వాతితిరునాళ్ రాగమాలికా జతిస్వరములను ఎన్నో రచించారు.
• జతిస్వరము రచయితలలో పొన్నయ్యపిళ్ళై, వడివేలు పిళ్ళై, శివానందం పిళ్ళై మొదలైనవారు ప్రసిద్ధులు.

Characteristics of Swara Pallavi/ Jathiswaram

• This is a type of musical composition useful for dance, similar to a 'Shabdam'.
• The music in it is lively and captivating.
• It resembles a Swarajati in its musical arrangement and structure.
• It has sections called Pallavi, Anupallavi, and Charanam, in order to present to demonstrate certain types of rhythmic patterns.
• A Jathiswaram does not have lyrics; it is sung entirely with musical notes from beginning to end.
• Some Jathiswarams do not have an Anupallavi.
• It is usually sung in Madhyama Kaalam (the medium pace) similar to a Thaana Varnam.
• Students learn Swarapallavi after learning Geethams.
• Generally, it is more appropriate to describe a Jathiswaram as a dance performance composition rather than a Carnatic practice composition.
• Although Jathiswaram is not necessarily taught to students in carnatic music discipline, it is compulsorily taught in dance.
• As the Pallavi part is repeated, the name "Swarapallavi" came into use.
• In some Jathiswarams, it is common to compose some parts with musical notes and other parts by combining rhythmic patterns.
• The Charanam sections use different dhaathus.
• There are also some Ragamalika Jathiswarams.
• Swathi Thirunal composed many Ragamalika Jathiswarams.
